• Cost: $10 per adult or $30 per family (all proceeds donated to the Kawatiri Coastal Trail)
Cycle Journeys Shuttle/Transport Options
Available to transport people and bikes between Westport and Charleston. Cost $40/one way (Includes the purchase of a 2025 KCT Trail Pass which directly supports the KCT)
- Westport to Charleston:
• Departure times: 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM from Trail HQ (175 Palmerston Street, Westport) - Charleston to Westport:
• Departure times: 2:00 PM & 3:30 PM from Underworld Adventures car park.
Public Trail Opening Ceremony (Trail entrance on Rotten Row)
• 1:30 PM: Public blessing & ribbon cutting and the official opening of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail!
In celebration of the trail’s opening, a Trail Quest competition will run from March 22nd to April 27th. Participants can enter the competition by completing a series of questions about the trail. Entry costs $10, and the fees will go towards the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the trail. Correct entries will go into a draw to win exclusive Trail Quest merchandise.
